Tribal Elder Cherie Lou Butler passed away Thursday, August 27, 2026, at the age of 85.

A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, in the Tribal gym. There will be a meal at the Elders Activity Center afterward.

A private graveside service will be held Thursday, Sept. 3, for family.

West Valley Funeral Home in Sheridan  is assisting the family.
