Raiden Barry McGee

In loving memory of Raiden Barry McGee - forever 3.  

Raiden was a bright light whose joy, curiosity and unconditional love left an everlasting mark on everyone who knew him. Though his time on earth was far too short, the impact of his life will be felt for generations.

Raiden was born on July 20, 2020, to Bryant "Christopher" McGee and Samantha McGee. From the very beginning, he was full of life, arriving with a spirit that could never be contained. He loved the simple things that made his world magical like bubbles, jumping on the trampoline, snuggling and watching his favorite shows, including “Pocoyo,” “Mickey Mouse” and “Bluey.” His favorite color was orange and foxes always seemed to capture his heart.

Raiden was profoundly autistic and nonverbal, but anyone who knew him understood that communication comes in many forms. His smiles, laughter, excitement and the way he experienced the world spoke louder than words ever could. He taught those around him patience, acceptance and the beauty of seeing the world differently. Through him, countless people learned about autism, compassion and unconditional love.

On July 15, 2024,  Raiden quietly eloped and walked on to be with creator.

Raiden's legacy did not end that day. In his honor, Samantha has founded the Raiden Bubble Project, an organization dedicated to raising awareness about autism, elopement (wandering or bolting) prevention, drowning prevention and supporting families walking similar journeys. Through bubbles, education, community events and acts of kindness, Raiden continues to save lives and touch hearts.

Raiden is deeply loved and survived by his parents, Christopher and Samantha McGee; and his future siblings, who will grow up knowing the incredible big brother who watches over them; grandparents, Daniel and Christina Mersch; uncles, aunties and extended family; and countless friends whose lives were forever changed by knowing him.

Although our hearts ache in his absence, we choose to remember the happiness he brought, the lessons he taught us and the love that will never fade. His life reminds us to celebrate every milestone, treasure every hug and never take a single moment for granted.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to join the Raiden Bubble Project so that Raiden's legacy of protecting and advocating for children can continue.

Tribal Elder Sheila Jo Keene passed away Aug. 5, 2026, at the age of 56.

Tribal member Christian Michael Dawsey passed away on July 23, 2026, at the age of 22.

Tribal Elder Willard Murry Williams passed away Aug. 3, 2026, at the age of 84.
