Spirit Mountain Casino hires new marketing director
Spirit Mountain Casino has hired Kyu Myoung as its new marketing director.
Myoung has 20 years of experience in the hospitality and gaming industry. In his most recent role, he served as vice president of marketing strategy and operation at Boyd Gaming in Kansas City, Mo. He was responsible for overseeing the property marketing strategy, non-gaming operation, budgeting, planning and database analytics.
In previous executive roles, Myoung has worked for Jack Entertainment in Detroit, Mich., Caesars Entertainment in Philadelphia and Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, Calif. In those jobs, he was responsible for rewards and loyalty programming, VIP experiences, customer relationship management, event planning, and execution and the launch of new products and services.
“The people and the place at Spirit Mountain drew me to this role,” Myoung said. “I’m excited to continue building on the casino’s success and look forward to getting to know my new home state.”
“Kyu has deep experience in the gaming industry that will benefit Spirit Mountain Casino, our stakeholders and the region,” said Clint Johnson, the casino’s chief operating officer. “He’s developed and led strategic planning for large complex organizations. I’m confident in his ability to have a significant impact on our business.”
According to his LinkedIn profile, Myoung attended the University of Nevada at Las Vegas and earned a degree in hospitality administration and management.
