Letters to the Editor -- Nov. 1, 2018

Dear Smoke Signals:

I would like to thank Tribal members for voting in the annual Tribal Council election and on the advisory vote items. Upon re-election of my term, I will continue on the path laid out by the Tribe.

Each of the three advisory vote items were overwhelmingly affirmative. The advisory votes show Tribal Council the will of the people and we will move forward with action to address the three items.

I appreciate that each of the candidates who sought election to serve on Tribal Council conducted themselves respectfully, knowing it is hard work to conduct a campaign.

Congratulations to Jon A. George and Steve Bobb Sr. for being elected to another term on Tribal Council. And thank you Brenda Tuomi for your term on Tribal Council. It has been a joy to work with you. Brenda’s service and contribution is appreciated.
