'Honoring Our Rivers' anthology seeking submissions

'Honoring Our Rivers: A Student Anthology" is seeking written and visual art submissions from kindergarten through 12th grade and undergraduate college students about Oregon's rivers and watersheds.

Deadline for submissions is Thursday, Jan. 31.

"Honoring Our Rivers" is Oregon's only statewide student anthology focused on rivers and watersheds. Students selected for publication receive the honor of their work appearing in print before a statewide audience and opportunities to present at events throughout the state.

The guidelines are one entry per student, written works should be typed or printed clearly (no more than 500 words), digital entries are encouraged and artwork and photography must be original and black-and-white only.

Submissions forms must include a signature and parents must sign for student younger than 18. Submissions will not be returned and "Honoring Our Rivers" reserves rights and permissions for printing and reproductions.

This year's anthology is being sponsored by a $3,000 grant from the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde.
