The 10th annual Native Youth Wellness Day will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, March 16, in the Tribal gym.

Registration and a continental breakfast will begin at 9 a.m. and opening remarks start at 9:30 a.m.

The event is open for Native American middle and high school youth. Attendees can be dropped off at Youth Education between 8 and 9:30 a.m. or picked up from Willamina and Sheridan schools between 8:15 and 8:45 a.m. Lunch will be provided.

The conference will end at 5 p.m. However, dinner and entertainment will be provided from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the Tribal Community Center.

Area schools have agreed to consider Wellness Day a school activity and/or field trip. Parents need to follow school policy and pre-approve their student's absence. Students will not be allowed to board the bus without approval from the school and a signed Youth Prevention permission form.

This year's speaker is from Inspire. Motivate. Lead, a company dedicated to the resilience, passion and potential of indigenous communities.

The Agency Creek Round Dance will begin at 7 p.m. in the Tribal gym on Friday and Saturday, March 16-17.
