Raeann Lynn Knight

Feb. 12, 1991 - April 9, 2020

Raeann Lynn Knight was born on Feb. 12, 1991, and died on April 9, 2020, at age 29 in Washington.

The daughter of Roberta and Dennis Knight Sr., Raeann was a very sweet and loving young woman; she loved everyone who was in her life! That love she shared and was reciprocated by her friends and family. Raeann was kind and caring and she had a special love for dogs. Raeann took her dogs everywhere and treated them as her children.

Raeann was a beautiful soul in and out. With her beauty, Raeann had a love of pretty things. She enjoyed animal prints and the color black. When she was a little girl, she developed a passion for makeup, nice clothes, shoes and pretty nails. She loved princesses and with her natural dark hair and fair skin, she deserved her nickname “Snow White.” Raeann loved doing hair, which began at the age of 4 when she cut her friends’ hair in the family bathroom. Going to beauty school was a natural fit for her.

Raeann loved music and singing. As a teenager, you could often find her singing and hanging out with her friends. She had an infectious and wonderful giggle. Raeann’s laugh and giggles are something that stands out for many of us, and something we will remember her for.

Raeann was a wonderful daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, great-aunt and friend. She will be truly missed. She is survived by her mother, Roberta Knight; father, Dennis Knight Sr.; grandmothers, Delores Knight and Lola Cooksey; grandfather, Roy Cooksey; brothers, Derrick Cooper and Dennis Knight Jr.; sisters, Rebecca Knight-Alvarez, Rachel Knight and Faith Knight; uncles, Jesse Knight, William Knight, Roy Cooksey Jr. and Gerald Cooksey; aunts, Brenda Gray, Loretta Sisemore, Sirena Cooksey, Rhonda Geppert and Karen Plunges; 12 nieces and nephews; and a great-nephew.

Raeann’s memorial service was held at the Lighthouse Church in Grand Ronde, Ore., on April 18, 2020, and was a closed family service. She was laid to rest after a 1 p.m. service by Dennis Knight Jr., Derrick Cooper, Joseph Cox, Jesse Knight, Casey Knight and Gabriel Knight at the Grand Ronde Cemetery. Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center is caring for the family. www.dallastribute.com.
