Emergency Management offering ham radio course

The Tribe's Emergency Management Program is sponsoring a free class to teach ham radio skills and help participants pass the "Technician" test. The class is open to the first eight Tribal members or employees who sign up. Everyone who attends all 10 classes and passes the test will be offered a handheld ham radio through Emergency Management. Classes will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday starting April 25. There will be no class the week of May 16. Classes will be held at the Tribal Community Center, 9615 Grand Ronde Road, and be taught by Terry Pietras, State Communications Officer.
