Kenneth Robert Husak

April 29, 1951 – May 30, 2015

Tribal Elder Ken Robert Husak was born and raised in Roseburg, Ore. He was an Elder in the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Indian Tribe. He also was an Air Force veteran.

Ken graduated from Pacific Coast Baptist Bible College with a degree in theology. He went into law enforcement and retired from the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Department in Portland, Ore.

His love and enjoyment came from his family, God, Indian heritage and the wonders of nature.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia (Ginger) Leffall-Husak; his daughter, Shandra and son-in-law Ryan Sullivan, grandson, Hamilton; son, Dallas Husak and daughter-in-law Tina; his stepdaughter, Leniece Leffall; father, Frank Husak; brother, Steve Husak and sister-in-law Deon, and brother David Husak and sister-in-law Karen.

There will be a private interment at Memorial Gardens in Roseburg on Friday, July 10, and a Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 11, in Gresham, Oregon.

The family asks that all donations or contributions be sent to the Diabetes Foundation or the Grand Ronde Tribe in his name.
