07.13.2018 Dean Rhodes Letters

Dear Smoke Signals:

We would like to thank everyone for all of your support over the past year and especially the prayers and kindness during these last few weeks.

Wink was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend to all and loved this Tribe very much.

First off, thank you to Bruce Workman and everyone at Dallas Mortuary and Bollman Funeral Home for making all of the arrangements and coordinating the service. The service put on from start to finish made it a special day that we will never forget.

Thank you to the Tribe’s Member Services Department and for the burial fund that we are so grateful to receive.

Thank you to the Tribe’s Recreation and Facilities departments for providing us the gym for the service.

Thank you to the Elders Committee for allowing us to use the Elders Activity Center for the reception. Thank you to those who catered and prepared food for the reception.

Thank you to the Groundskeeping staff at the cemetery as well as the family and friends who assisted in preparing the gravesite.

Thank you to Father Zani and Deacon David Briedwell for officiating the Rosary Service, Mass and the Memorial Service. Thank you to the veterans and for beautiful military ceremonies during the service.

Most importantly, thank you to the Grand Ronde Tribal community as well as all of our family and friends as well as anybody else we didn’t mention directly. Your thoughts, prayers and efforts have made a difference for our family during this time.

Sincerely,

Kathy, Steve, Gary, Bill and the entire family

of William Joseph “Wink” Soderberg Jr.
