The almost 31-acre Jahn property west of Spirit Mountain Casino has been taken into trust status for the Tribe, Land and Culture Manager Jan Looking Wolf Reibach said on Thursday, April 9.

The property is south of Oregon Highway 18 before reaching Grand Ronde Road and includes a stretch of the South Yamhill River. It is currently in hay production.

“Conversion of Tribal properties into trust status has several advantages to the Tribe, including but not limited to property tax exemption,” he said.

Reibach thanked Tribal Council, Tribal Council Chief of Staff Stacia Martin, Staff Attorney Jennifer Biesack, Ceded Lands Manager Michael Karnosh and Realty Specialist Teresa Brocksen for their work on obtaining trust status for the property.
