Jan. 20, 1962 - Sept. 29, 2013

Faye LaRose Miller, 51, of Willamina walked on Sept. 29, 2013, at Salem Hospital.

She was born on Jan. 20, 1962, in Salem, Ore., bright and early to Renee LaRose and David Leroy Lane after a very quick labor. Her oldest brother, Anthony Lane, was very excited about having a new baby sister. Faye grew up in Salem, Ore. She grew up as best friends and very close to her cousin, Dorothy Lane; they were born only a month apart.

She attended North Salem High School for a couple of years and then went on to get her GED. When she was 18, she gave birth to her son, David Charles. Then a few years later she went on to have her daughters, Casi and Crystal Miller.

Faye married Jeffery Miller at the age of 26 and they were married for many years before she was widowed and spent her last years with Charlie Tiddel. She enjoyed being a homemaker. She was a book lover, which she passed on to her children. She always had a romance novel in her hand. She enjoyed bead work and doing crafts. She was always a big animal lover and had many pets. She spent most of her life in Salem, Grand Ronde and Willamina, where she was living at the time of her passing.

Faye is lovingly remembered by her parents, David and Renee Lane of Salem, and her younger brother, Reynold Joseph Lane, and her three children, David Charles Shepard and Casi and Crystal Miller. She also is survived by her granddaughters, Lily Renee Bigelow and Sophia LaRose Ortiz. She also has a large and loving extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews who she loved and adored.

A memorial service was held Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the Grand Ronde Tribal gym. Burial followed at the Grand Ronde Tribal Cemetery.
