Theodore T. "Teddy" LaChance

Tribal Elder Theodore T. "Teddy" LaChance, 83, of Grand Ronde walked on Tuesday, June 4, in Grand Ronde.

He was born Sept. 13, 1929, in Garibaldi, Ore., to Joseph R. and Lillian R. (Dowd) LaChance.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953.

He lived in Grand Ronde for many years. He worked in the woods starting at a young age. He worked as a logger for most of his life. He enjoyed going to movie theaters and loved his cats, guns and hunting. He had a passion for fast cars, especially his beloved Trans Am Firebirds. He is now with his parents and brother.

Survivors include his brother, Eugene LaChance of Springfield, Ore.; sister, Teresa Mausen of Sweet Home, Ore.; five nieces and one nephew.

Services were held Tuesday, June 11, at St. Michael's Church gymnasium in Grand Ronde.

Military committal services were held at the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde cemetery in Grand Ronde.
