General Council briefed on casino in executive session
Spirit Mountain Casino General Manager Stan Dillon briefed the Tribal membership on the casino’s financial and strategic overview for 2016-17 during the General Council meeting held Sunday, Sept. 11, in the Tribal Community Center.
Since the briefing occurred in executive session, Smoke Signals cannot report on the specifics of the presentation.
Dillon delivered a 30-minute overview and then fielded more than 10 questions and comments from Tribal members.

In other action, it was announced that the next General Council meeting will be held on Sunday, Oct. 2, in the Tribal Community Center and feature an overview of Tribal business investments.
Tribal Elders Laura Gleason and Debi Anderson, as well as Michael Langley, won the $100 door prizes and Shayla Murphy, Nancy Ferguson, Timothy Meyer, Robert Wiggs and Kaleigha Simi won the $50 door prizes. In addition, two necklaces donated by Tribal Council member Jon A. George were raffled off and won by Peter Grout and Louise Coulson.
